Quick Review: MUA Lip Crayons & Gloss! 👄

Hi beautiful people! 😁 Today is FRIDAY!!! 💫🌟💫 Just wanted to share another few items i got for my birthday 🎂 Some Makeup Academy lip products in BEAUTIFUL colors! Let’s get right into it!

💗

image

imageimage

These two are the lip crayons, in “Mauve” and “Fuschia.” Not sure why it is called mauve because it’s not haha but whatever, it’s a gorgeous regardless! 💘

image

The lipgloss in “Rose” comes with this thin and flatter doe foot applicator, making it easy simple application. This gloss smells like a typical lip plumping gloss, like tea tree oil or something intensely minty. Although, this is not a plumper it just smells like one. 😁 The color is very opaque and looks like a rosey glaze over your lips.

Let me show you some swatches!

image

Top: Fuschia Mid: Mauve Last: Rose Gloss

I really do love every one of these colors and they are super pretty, hydrating and creamy on the lips, but i find that the color on the actual packaging was mileading for “Mauve,” (the bright fig/orchid color tip) and the name was just flat out wrong haha.. Not too sure what happend with this color but i do like the color it really turned out to be, like a lighter bubblegum pink. 🌸 I’ll definitely be rocking all of these babies! 😆 Such an awesome gift!

I would reccomend these products over all, and they have tons more shade options if these ones in particular don’t speak to you! 😁💗

Thanks for reading honeybees! Please leave thoughts and comments for me!

Quick Review: L’Oreal Color Rich Lip Color Sticks!

Hello beautiful ladies! Just thought i would try to get something posted for you all today to read, and i’ve come across a pretty awesome lip product!  So awesome, that i’ve included one in my Oct giveaway! So let’s check them out:

image

These sleek looking lip “sticks” by L’Oreal come in velvety matte (Le Matte) or irresistibly glossy (La Lacque)! Either way you go, you are going to have an EXTREMELY smooth and silky application experience! They are so soft and hydrating to the lip you will never leave the house without one of these, not to mention the small pointed tip makes for super on point accuracy when lining, then simply fill in the rest! No need for lip liner 🙂 But you can if you want to of course.

Here are some lovely swatches i’ve done for you! As you can see the Matte is very very matte and looks so luxurious and velvety on the skin, and the gloss one has a beautiful moisturized healthy-looking shine…

image

 (Left: Matte-R Of Fact/Right: Choco-Lacque)

Matte-R Of Fact is a stunning deeper berry purple/raspberry. Definitely a beautiful color for fall 🙂 Choco-Lacque is the most gorgeous true nude/rose shade, it is one of my favorite lip colors right now. These both would look wonderful on any skin tone. ❤

Here they are applied on my actual lips:

image image

These are truly a GREAT lip product. Silky, smooth, long lasting color.. what more could a girl want?:) I definitely recommend trying one of these guys, and one of you is gonna win one in my giveaway regardless! image

image

KM1- Leaves a beautiful healthy peachy/apricot glow on your face. This on is is very natural looking and applies nicely on your cheeks. Gorgeous lip color too.

HL3- This one is a honey bronze highlighter chubby, this is a gorgeous honey colored shimmery shade that looks stunning as a bronzer for me.

KM3- This one is a VIBRANT hot pink color, i like to use this on my lips most of the times but i could see this as a beautiful cheek color for warmer skin tones if dabbed on lightly.

Here are some swatches.. (i applied more than necessary for your cheeks to really show texture and color more clearly)

image

They really behave like a smooth cream blush. Which is also a great texture for the lips, i feel like they’re moisturizing too. These are just swatches, there will be NO chunky spots once the color is all blended out onto your cheeks it leaves such a beautiful, even, glowing color.

Here are some more beautiful colors by FLOWER:

Pink and Playful Makeup Look!

So this afternoon i decided i wanted to do something fun and PINK for you all! I created one eyeshadow look, and used a couple different lip colors to show you how to quickly & easily change up this look and see what this would look like with different shades of lippies! 🙂 It can be transformed into a bridal event look, a night on the town look, a lovely date look and anything in between! ❤

image

This is my girly sweet pink eyeshadow look, with no lipstick applied at all here. I have naturally pink lips as you can see though so this gives you an idea of what this eye would look like with a nude/pinky or mauve type lip.

Here’s the same eyeshadow with a bright pastel  & vibrant orange lip! This is obviously more of an extreme pink and peach combo for going out or partying, maybe heading to a concert.. something of that nature. 😉

image

image

These are all of the products i used, and the lipsticks in this particular “going-out” look are MAC’s “Sushi Kiss” in the middle of my lips and Milani’s “Sweet Nectar” on the outer parts!

image

image

  • Milani “Sweet Nectar”
  • MAC “Sushi Kiss”
  • MAC “Saint Germain”
  • MAC Mineralize Concealer NC20
  • MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion
  • MAC Moisture SPF 15 Foundation in NC22
  • Mally Base Shadow/Primer (not shown above)

image

  • L.A. Colors Shadow Palette “Tease” (the pink shade)
  • FLOWER Bronzer/Blush Duo in “Glow Baby Glow”
  • L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow 24HR in “Iced Latte”

image

  • Neutrogena Facial Lotion for Sensitive Skin (always use this on a clean face before applying my makeup)
  • L’Oreal Infallible 16HR Powder in “Porcelain”
  • Almay Liquid Black Liner
  • Lancome Paris High Definition Mascara Black

Here is the eyeshadow look with a bright pastel pink lippie paired with it. This one is MAC’s “Saint Germain.” This one is still vibrant but the lighter pink lip softens it up a bit for a daytime more formal event.

Mini MAC Haul! Quick Swatch Review!

Hi girls! Super excited because i received a special package in the mail from MAC cosmetics today. I ordered a few different lipsticks to review quickly & show you all! I’m sure you may be familiar with some of them. I have repurchased one of these colors and the rest are new to my collection 🙂

Let’s get started!

image

image

image

So this is what i grabbed:

  • Sushi Kiss
  • Flamingo
  • Saint Germain
  • Heroine (repurchase)

And they sent me a free sample of the strobe liquid, i have a full size bottle of this but i like it a lot so i figured i might as well grab a sample for traveling or something.

image

Here are some swatches!

image

Sushi kiss, Flamingo, Saint Germain & Heroine.

Now let me show you them on my actual lips!

Sushi Kiss:

image

Beautiful & bright pastel, creamy peachy color! I absolutely love this one and was very excited to order it. And obviously these lipsticks are great & creamy!

Flamingo:

image

This is the most subtle color of the group, it just looks like a beautiful natural healthy pinky/peach glow on your lips, it is sooo pretty. I’m really glad i picked this one up.

Saint Germain:

image

This is a sweet pastel baby pink. I was worried it may be a little to light for my skin tone since i’m very fair, but it really is gorgeous and makes me look more tan and i’m definitely happy i got it! ❤

Heroine:

image

Since i really had barely any of this color left, i obviously had to get it back in time for fall! This is a beautiful deep but vibrant orchid/berry type color, It would look stunning on any skin tone in my opinion! 🙂

Maybelline Blushed Nudes Night Out Makeup Look!

I got a request the other day from someone saying they wished i would have done some looks with that Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette review i posted recently, so i thought that was a great idea and i should definitley at least post one look with this palette. Here’s what i came up with!

image

image

Sort of a pink, rosey smokey eye. I always start my eyeshadow routine with my MALLY base shadow. It is so creamy, doesn’t crease at all and makes the shadow stick to your lids perfectly for HOURS! One of my personal favorites.

imageimage

The base shadow is the pan to the left. It works very well as a primer but any eyelid primer will work just fine.

Let me show you how a base shadow works for those who aren’t familiar:

image

(The brown shadow shown here is NOT used in this look, it is achieved using only the colors from the blushed nudes palette. This is just used  as an example)

Above are the two shadows in the MALLY palette swatched separately. As you can see, the brown eye shadow is somewhat transparent, it doesn’t look nearly as dark as the color in the actual pan. The base shadow is neutral in color, bright & creamy. Now, let me show you the brown shadow OVER the creamy base shadow.

image

Retail price for JUST the creamy base shadow: $18.00 USD

Purchase it here!

Now that the brown shadow has been applied over the base, it has much better color pay off and it is noticeably darker than the last swatch.

Back to the look: Here are the colors i used from the Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette

image

In this order i began to apply:

  1. I pretty much just cut my crease with this color and then blended it out so it wasn’t such a harsh line.
  2. I packed this onto my lid, and blended it in with the color i used in my crease.
  3. Traced my outer V with this black color and blended it out, also used on my bottom lash line.
  4. Applied this to my inner corner, and below  near my inner corner on my lower lash line. Blend blend blend!

image

image

You can really achieve some beautiful romantic eyes with this palette. I’ve been loving it so far and here you can see the gorgeous colors in action! You could also go the opposite route and do something with the lighter colors in the palette for more of a daytime look. If you’d like me to do a daytime look for you just leave a comment!

FLOWER Cosmetics Swatch & Review: Amazing Blush & Face Focus!

I am really excited to share my thoughts with you on this brand! I feel like it doesn’t get as much attention as it should, so here i am with a bunch of products i will swatch and review to help you form an opinion of your own on FLOWER cosmetics!

image

Above shown from left to right: 2 Transforming touch powder to creme blush, 2 Fragrance mist,  1 “Powder Up” Loose powder, 1 “About Face” Liquid  foundation, 1 BB Cream, 1 “In Your Prime” Perfecting primer.

So, I love their packaging choice. It is so appealing and lady-like. But let’s talk about the products themselves. Starting with the Powder to Creme Blush.

image

(“tickled pink & a-cor-able“)

Retail price: $12.98 USD each.

As you can see, these blushes come in a sifter type powder jar. The sifting holes are actually the perfect size, and all you need to do is tap it lightly upside down with the lid screwed on tight, and then flip it back right side up. Tap lightly on the lid, open your jar and you should have more than enough blush available for you to dip into. This is the finest powder blush i have ever seen. It is like the consistency of confectioners sugar, no joke. You almost need to be careful while applying it, try not to inhale any haha! So light weight, so beautiful and so blendable. You really do not need a lot on the brush when applying this. Now here’s the crazy part, when it says powder to creme, it means powder to creme. Check out this swatch i have on my arm.

* I applied more product than necessary just to show you the transforming property.

image

(“A-cor-able & tickled pink“)

Amazing! You’ve got to try these blushes ladies, they apply so nicely and last quite a while on your face. I absolutely LOVE them.

Now, let’s focus on the face.

image

(“Powder Up” Loose face powder in L01)

Retail price: $9.98 USD

This stuff is great, and the little powder puff included inside again goes back to the lady-like  beautiful packaging. The texture of the powder is so smooth and silky and it applies wonderfully. Even though i love the puff, i still prefer applying this with a powder brush. There will be a swatch below with the liquid foundation & BB cream as well. They have a few different shades for all the beautiful skin tones of you ladies. I would really recommend giving this a try!

image

(“About Face” foundation, BB cream, “In Your Prime” Perfecting face primer)

Retail prices (in order): $13.98, $12.98, $12.98 USD.

Now we have the liquid foundation, BB cream and perfecting primer! Overall, i think the two tinted products have great coverage, texture and wearability. And the primer is SO luxurious and smells amazing & fresh, like you just washed your face! Dries quickly, doesn’t leave you feeling sticky and works wonderfully as an eyeshadow primer as well. Let me show you some swatches of the loose powder, the liquid foundation and the BB cream. (In that order below)

image

I have already shared my thoughts on the loose powder, but now you can see the silky smooth texture. I really like using the BB cream as a brightener to use under my eyes, bridge of my nose etc… As you can see it is a bit more yellow toned, so it works very nicely for brightening with my skin tone. I like to apply that with a moist beauty blender. The liquid foundation is obviously good for full coverage, but it also works great for spot coverage over blemishes! You should really give it a shot and order these for yourself in your best suited shade, they are all fantastic and quality products.

Last but not least; The Fragrance Mists. The bottles are huge, they will last forever and they smell like heaven! What more can i say? I personally think the two i have shown below have very similar aromatic qualities to Victoria secret body sprays. Cherished is the white bottle, it has a very sweet, warm vanilla scent that lingers on you. Such as Victoria Secret’s “warm and cozy” body spray. It is intoxicating. ❤ Radiant is in the pink metallic bottle, it has a very refreshing ‘rolling through a field of new spring flowers’ type of smell. Very classy. ❤ It’s important to smell as good as you look after all!

This morning i woke up with the urge to post a makeup look! ❤ So then it began, endlessly rummaging through countless pallettes and individuals to find a fantastic, fun combo to make it POP! I obviously wanted to do something eye catching for all of you, so this is what i came up with.

image

image

image

For some reason i really just love using super bright colors, i’ll be sure to post some more natural looks sometime soon as well.

I started off this look by putting my Neutrogena facial lotion on as i usually do since it preps my face really nicely for foundation and shadows etc. Now i applied tape on the outer corners of my eyes at an angle towards the end of my brow bone. (These need to be pretty even to get symmetrical lines on ea. side) Then i went ahead and applied my Mally base shadow which has a very similar consistency as the MAC paint pot “Soft Ochre.” Once it is evenly spread over my lid, i apply my magenta pink eyeshadow in my inner corner of my eye and bring it out a bit onto my lid. Now i take a bright shimmer purple/plum color and follow the shape of my outer V & also applying color all the way along the edge of the tape. I took a metallic deep purple color and applied it around the outer V on the outer edge of the pre existing color and brought it into my crease. No shadow is applied to the bottom lash line in this look. Blend blend blend. Removed the tape, curled my lashes, applied a light coat of mascara, put on some liquid eyeliner, applied falsies and then continued on with my normal full face routine. (Concealer, foundation, powder, contour, bronzer, blush, lipstick etc…) I always do my eyebrows last with a plain brown eyeshadow on a lightly moistened brush and then i completed this look with MAC setting spray.
