Short Spring Makeup Tutorial & Maybelline Product Review! πŸ’›πŸ’πŸ’›

Hi Babes! I’m back today with some spring-spiration! πŸ’•πŸŒ·πŸ’• I haven’t done a makeup tutorial for a while and I thought, what a better way to come back with a great makeup look but for the new spring season! 😁 Let’s get right into shall we???

So I was sitting here thinking of colors I associated with spring, first and almost instantly “pastel” came to mind. But I continued to simmer on the idea and I just wasn’t satisfied with pastels right now, I wanted something bolder. Something that could be worn out to a nice dinner date and you look fabulously spring-y but also suave and sexy. Then, I began thinking neutral with a POP of spring color! 😁 So I ultimately decided on a chocolate brown cut crease look, with a vibrant turquoise winged liner to go with it. Please continue reading if you’d like to see what products I used and pictures of my the look I created! πŸ’–

Here are the products I used to create this look!

*Benefit “Big Beautiful Eyes” Eye Contour Palette (Dark brown shadow)

*Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in “Ibiza.” (Used as eyeliner)

*Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

*Maybelline Master Contour Kit

*Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in “Rose Gold.”

*Milani “Bahama Beige” Lip Stick

*FLOWER Beauty About Face Liquid Foundation

*Salon Perfect Half-Falsies (Not in photo)

*OFRA Eyebrow Pencil in Brown (Not in photo)

*MAC Mineralize Concealer (Not in photo)

*L’Oreal Infallible 16 HR Pro Matte Powder Foundation (Not in photo)

Now I just wanted to quickly review the Maybelline products for you!

Maybelline The Master Contour Kit
: When I first saw this in my local Walmart I was eager to try it out. Unfortunately, I didn’t so much like the highlight or contour shades. The contour was much too light for my olive complexion, and the highlight was so-so. I have much better quality highlighters by MAC, Pixi and Wet n’ Wild. The one thing I really loved about this palette, was the blush! It is such a beautiful, healthy/natural glow type pink. Like you just got done working out or something, so pretty 😍 I recommend this for the blush. But the contour and highlight might work better for you if you are very fair skinned.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: This stuff is black gold! πŸ’– I have been in search of an affordable mascara that separates and lifts my lashes towards the sky 🌞 This one does just that. Maybelline is funny, they come out with TONS of different mascaras. We’re always seeing new commercials with supermodel’s with the best looking lashes, and I’ll go out and try all of these mascaras & I’ll hardly like any of them. But finally, one has lived up to it’s claims! πŸ’œ Highly recommend! No need for expensive mascaras when this one exists 😁

Anyways, Thanks so much for reading babes! Please leave your comments and thoughts for me ❀️ xoxo

Christmas Eyeshadow Collab with Bhavika! <3

Hi everyone! So i partnered up with the lovely BhavikaΒ to do a christmas collab. She thought of getting together with 12 other bloggers, for the 12 days up until Christmas! Her posts were awesome you should click on her name above and check them out! You will love it! πŸ˜€ We both decided to do a festive holiday eye shadow look together. First i will show you what she has created, it is so gorgeousΒ you are gonna love it!

Hey guys! It’s Bhavika from http://www.manikui.wordpress.com. I have a quick and easy eye makeup tutorial for you all today. I’m not a makeup artist but I do sometimes love to just play around with makeup and share what I’ve created on my blog. Today, I will be sharing my little creation on Tami’s blog! I absolutely love her blog and think she is a wonderful blogger. She is really sweet and has AMAZING eye makeup in every single of her posts! She is really talented! But I am sure you guys know that already…

For my shimmery pink eye makeup, I used:
– Maybelline Lash Sensational / Linked HERE.
– Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer – light / Linked HERE.
– Maybelline Master Precise Liquid eyeliner / Linked HERE.
& this mini makeup revolution palette which game from one of their Christmas gift sets this year! / I cannot find it online anymore! 😦

unnamed

Please ignore my eyebrows, haha! Haven’t had them threaded in a long time! I think I better do it before Christmas day though.

I first used the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer under my eyes to cover the dark circles under them. It really brightened my eyes up!

I then covered the base with the lightest pink shade in the palette which is next to two matte light highlighted shades in the palette (none of the shades have any names – sorry!). It is an extremely pale pink colour – like an off white colour and has A LOT of shimmer. It is great for the base!

Next, I used the two darker pinker shades next to the endearing copper shade on my crease. I kept alternating between them until I had a really dark pink crease. The pictures really do not do it justice! (Santa, I need a better camera for Christmas! haha) It looked incredible in person. There was so much shimmer and definitely a great Christmas party look if you want to look fresh and sparkly.

I finished off my look with one coat of my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara on my top lashes (which was definitely enough for me since my eyelashes are incredibly long and thick). I also did quite a thin winged liner with my Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner. It is very easy to use due to its thin tip and makes a wonderful cat eye!

That’s it for the look.Hope you guys liked this! I am so disappointed that I couldn’t find the link of this palette but I am pretty sure there must be more Makeup Revolution palettes out there with these shades.

FullSizeRender (97)

As you can see i did a Smokey Ruby look, i wanted to do something more dramatic since i’ve been doing more fun festive looks lately!

The products i used to achieve this look:

  • ColourPop Super shock shadows in Get Lucky (gold) & Erotic (bright red)
  • Z-Palette- The two shades the brushes are pointed to (Burgundy & Black)
  • Tarteist Clay Paint Liner in Black
  • Mally Base Shadow/Primer

How i did it:

First off Β I moisturized my face and applied my foundation, then i applied my Mally base shadow (it’s like a really thick primer for the eyelid) to both of my lids, next i took “Get Lucky” gold eye shadow and applied it into my inner V. After that i took the burgundy shade from my Z-Palette and placed it in the crease area. Now i went over the burgundy lightly with “Erotic.” This intensified the color making it look much more red toned than purple, i also brought that color in over my lid. Lastly, i went into my outer V and some of my crease with black, darkening up and making it look more dramatic! πŸ™‚

I really hope you guys enjoyed this Collab, it was my first one ever and i wanted to thank Bhavika so so much for choosing me as one of her 12 bloggers, you’re awesome! Don’t forget to go check out her collab post on her site as well! Love you all, leave your comments and thoughts for both of us! πŸ™‚

Quick Ipsy December Glambag Review!

Hello again all! ❀ I received my lovely little pink bag in the mail today, so you know what that means… Review time! πŸ˜€

The little card is so adorableΒ it has all the famous youtubers on it but in little cutesy drawings! I really don’t read these anymore though, because they always mislead me. So let’s just get right into it!

FullSizeRender (36)

FullSizeRender (24)

First off we have this sweet little teeny tiny Fomula X Nail Polish, in a gorgeous shimmery champagne golden shade called “Revved Up”. I’ve heard great things about Fomula X and i’m excited to try it because i do not own any colors byΒ this brand. I especially like this color for the upcoming Holiday ❀ Did any of you get a different shade?

FullSizeRender (27)

The next few items i’ll cover now. Starting off with the Anti Aging Lip & Hand Polish by Jersey Shore Spa in the scent “Vanilla Bean.”

Here i squeezed a little out for you to see the texture & consistency. It clearly has a very abrasive exfoliating quality to it, with large sugar crystals and also nice hydrating characteristics because of the jojoba oil you can see draining off. I have been in dire need of a great lip polish in these colder months here in AZ. So i was VERY excited to see this, and since i plan on only using this on my lips the deluxe sample size will last me FOREVER! I also love the smell, it’s more of a natural Vanilla Bean scent than the typical artificial vanilla cake smell. Thank you Ipsy! ❀ You saved my lips!

Next up we have the two lip products i was sent!

Left: Pacifica Power of Love Vegan Lipstick in ‘Nudie Red’

Right: Model Co Illusion Lip Liner Pencil in a Mauvey/Brown Shade

First off i would like to say if you want to see a lip swatch of these two products, check out my last post because i used them together to create a beautiful natural lip! I absolutely LOVE the texture of both of these, they glide on your lip and are super creamy and opaque. I usually would prefer if Ipsy sent me brighter colors, but these are the perfect nude duo, and i am so happy these were sent to me. Great lip products! ❀ These are both FULL SIZE also!

And lastly, we have the dreaded hair care sample:

If you read my Ipsy reviews you know that i am never too happy when i get a heavy glambag only to crack it open and find a big ole’ tube of hair product or hand lotion 😦 I like coconut but i don’t need these types of samples as i already have a pretty religious hair ceremony. LOL. Passing this item off to a friend.

And that’s all for my Ipsy Glambag! I really hope you all enjoyed this review, let me know what you got in YOUR bag down below! ❀ Love you all! πŸ™‚ Remember to follow my instagram and youtube channel if you haven’t already!

SUGAR SKULL!!! πŸπŸ’€ Halloween Makeup! Bright & Beautiful!

Hi gorgeous ladies! I am SUPER excited to share with you this beautiful look on how to tranform your face into a sugar skull for Halloween! πŸŽƒπŸ”ͺπŸ‘» I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while but i have been terribly busy with work, but i finally got a couple hours to myself so i took my oppurtunity to do anotherΒ Halloween makeup look for you all. Just a reminder to ENTER my OCT GIVEAWAY! Open to everyone U.S. & International! πŸ’„πŸ’‹β€οΈ ENTER HERE! Now, let’s get started on the look!

This is what i came up with..

image

image

I had so much fun creating and really personalizing this look, and i think you all will too! The best part is that the colors and design is pretty much completely up to you, besides the staples like: the nose, the smile, the eyes. I added a traditional spider web to my forehead, some pretty rhinestone embellishments in certain areas of my face, the flower to my chin etc..

Here’s what was used!

image

image image

So here i have my usual MALLY shadow base/primer, some hydrating face primer, DUO eyelash glue for my falsies and face embellishments, my usual foundation & concealer and some halloween makeup kits (an injury stackable i used the black for intense shadowing,Β and a day of the dead halloween kit) I honestly knew i was taking a gamble with the color set that came with the Day Of The Dead kit, they didn’t look like they were going to be nearly as pigmented as they should and they WEREN’T. So, i ended up using a plain ole’ eyeshadow palette, that happened to be very very cheap ($1.50 USD) but extremely good quality as you can see! “Waterworld” L.A. Colors. I applied my MALLY base shadow everywhere you see shadow around my eyes, and just used liquid foundation for the other parts of my face that had eyeshadow on them to help it stick really well. πŸ™Œ But i DID end up using the sponge to sharpen lines and the eyeliner pencil the Sugar Skull kit came with. πŸ‘

image

The key to this sugar skull look is the OMBREΒ & blending effect, a.k.a transitional shades of one color from dark to very light. It really made this look complete & pulled it together when i went in and really darkened the shadow areas and brightened the highlight areas. 🌺 Be very thorough when blending your colors out and don’t be afraid to add some black to darken things up or white/vice versa, it will give this look depth. If only it were Halloween TODAY haha, i am really happy with how this turned out. So: if you have a nice glide-on sharp black eyeliner pencil, bright eyeshadow palette/choices, some eyeshadow brushes, an injury kit with a true black shade and patience, you can transformΒ yourself into a sweet sugar skull girl! πŸπŸ’€

I hope this will inspire some of you to go ahead and try their own take of this! If you do i would LOVE to see your creations!!!πŸ˜‰ Thanks so much for reading hope you girls enjoyed! Please leave Β  thoughts & comments for me
