November Ipsy Bag 2015! <3

Hi beautiful people! Back from vacation, and it was more than wonderful. Spent a lot of my time relaxing in the deluxe room, and also grabbed some drinks with Bae at the casino. They also had a big beautiful pool and a full service spa/nail salon ❤ But anywhooo, i’m back to blogging and i came home to an Ipsy Bag! So clearly i had to post about it, let’s get right into it..

IMG_0196

This month’s theme was Beauty Blast: “Your November Glam Bag is a universe of brilliant beauties. Twinkle, twinkle, darling. It’s time to light up the sky.”

The girls on this card are absolutely beautiful, both sporting super dramatic lip colors, metallic eyes, long lashes and winged liner. Once again, this card had me really excited to see what was inside. Now, the bag is so so so cute. I love science, space and nebula’s of all sorts, so this hit home with me before i even broke into it. 🙂

The first item i picked up was this Jesse’s Girl Eye Shadow Primer. This was cool at first sight but when i swatched it, it felt way too liquidy for my liking. So unfortunately i wont be using this and will pass it on to a friend. Here is a swatch for you all to see..

FullSizeRender (9)

It is almost my exact skin tone, but like i said before i prefer thicker eyeshadow primers. I pretty much ONLY use Mally’s Base Shadow. I definitely recommend trying that one out if you are in search of a good one.

FullSizeRender (11)

The next item i was SO excited about was this bright green lipstick. Fran Wilson MOODMatcher, is not a green lipstick but a clear one that adjusts to your body and creates a color by itself. I was dissapointed, i actually wanted a green lipstick and i thought it really went with the outer space theme haha. So i’m not too happy about this one, it’s a neutral pink color which i have tons of. Here is a swatch for you all.

IMG_0203

This product is pretty nice and hydrating on the lips, it feels great and smooth so i probably will use this just as a moisturizer and for a little hint of color for a simpler look for work or going out doing errands etc.

FullSizeRender (10)

The next item was a simple sleek eyeshadow brush. I will definitely be using this, i can never have enough brushes! Especially shadow brushes.

IMG_0201

Now we have be a bombshell eye liner in “wild child.” Which is just black haha. It is okay, the swatch wasn’t very opaque or bold but i might use this for my waterline. Here’s a swatch..

The last item i received was this SMASHBOX Full Exposure Mascara. Always excited to try new mascaras, especially from good brands like SMASHBOX. 🙂

Here is how my eye looks without any mascara:

So i really like this stuff! I think anyone else who got this in their Ipsy Bag was probably stoked about this too! I may purchase the full size version. ❤

Thanks for reading dolls, please leave comments and your thoughts for me to read and reply to! 😀 I missed you guys!

Mini Sephora HAUL & DETOX WATER! <3

Hi all of you beautiful people! 😀 I am here today to share with you what i just received on my front porch! A box from Sephora, filled with some nice goodies i have been DYING to try! Let’s get right into it ❤

IMG_0112

First up we have a birthday gift from Sephora, a NARS Satin Lip Pencil duo. I was so excited when they let me chose my gift, this obviously caught my eye and i picked this one without hesitation because i LOVE NARS! Who doesn’t? Let me show you the colors swatched on my arm 🙂

IMG_0116

TOP: Cruella

BOTTOM: Rikugien

Next up we have the Tarteist Clay Paint Liner & Liner Brush.

IMG_0113

This was an impulsive buy for me, i was looking through Sephora’s “liner” section, because i am running VERY low on my usual Almay Liquid Liner that is pretty much all i use on myself. I looked up some reviews, i watched the application video, and i got super duper excited. This product is BEAUTIFUL, it applies extremely clean and smooth and the brush that came with it is PERFECT for this formula. Once applied it has the look of a liquid liner, very similar to the one i always use! It also dries just like a liquid liner, from the looks of my swatch, this stuff WONT be flaking, cracking, fading or smudging. Just let it dry completely before you sneeze hehe ;D

Let me show you my line…

IMG_0117

This was with two smooth swipes of the brush. You can see here that it looks GORGEOUS, and very bold and black. Great pay off, I am so excited to start using this everyday, i may just never go back.. Sorry Almay! 😉

Now we have an OCC Lip Tar-Stained Gloss set!

IMG_0114

I was very excited to try these guys after hearing all of the wonderful reviews on them. I also heard they were quite messy during application, but i just had to purchase them. I have NEVER been into lip palettes, or any lip product that requires a finger/brush to apply. I definitely prefer lipsticks. BUT, i am super happy it’s a very cute little set and these shades are SO me! So let’s try them out!

The first two i showed applied how i would have expected them to, judging by the bold pictures on the package and other peoples detailed reviews. Unfortunately, my favorite purple lip tar ended up being my LEAST favorite, because it was not opaque at all and i wasted a lot of product trying to layer it on. SO, i would say go ahead and buy this set on Sephora’s website while you can. Two of them behave really nicely on the lip and have great color pay off, only one was a dud. But even though the purple one wasn’t opaque, it still looks nice it just looks like a transparent/purple gloss. These smell very very minty.

The next item i bought was a pack of purple shade ombre bobby pins! I thought these were pretty cute and i loved that they did the shade transitions, you could put the different colors right next to each other wherever you are pinning your hair and it would be really cute ;D Pretty sweet and had different colors choices as well.

IMG_0127

That’s all for the haul! 😉 Now i have an awesome detox water recipe to share with you all, i used oranges, strawberries and limes.

IMG_0097

I thought this really turned out good and tasted awesome the second and third day. I decided i should share it with you ❤

So, i started out by slicing up one orange very thinly, and saved about half of it to squeeze the fresh juice into the bottom of my pitcher. Next, i rolled a lime on my counter top to get the juices flowin’, then i sliced that up thinly and saved less than i did for the orange and squeezed it into my pitcher. After that i added most of that container of strawberries except for about 10, sliced thin. With long wooden spoon i lightly smashed the ingredients in the bottom. After that i added enough water to fill my pitcher not completely to the top. Lastly i mixed it thoroughly, added water and ice cubes, and popped it in the fridge! 🙂 It takes a day for the flavor to hint the water, and when it does you will be pleased! I loved this and came up with it while i was at the grocery store shopping, super duper simple and good for you drink that has some awesome flavor. You should give it a go!

Thank you all so much for reading, i am going on vacation tomorrow and will be back to blogging soon! I hope you all are happy and healthy and enjoyed this post 🙂 Leave comments & thoughts for me to read!

Ipsy October Glam Bag! 2015

Hello my loves! So sorry i haven’t been posting lately, but things will be picking back up here i have quite a few posts to make in the near future about lots of fun makeup topics! 💖💄 And one big beautiful HAUL coming soon!!! Today, i will be sharing what i recieved in this months october ipsy bag. If you do not know what ipsy is, i encourage to to go ahead and check out their website it explains it all for you there. Baisically it is a 10$ monthly beauty subscription that is shipped to you with 4-5 deluxe samples, a makeup bag and sometimes one full size product (eyelash curlers, nail colors, makeup brushes etc..) Last months ipsy bag really didn’t make me too exited, i got a lot of stuff i wouldn’t use. This month, i got a lot of stuff i probably wont use and tried to do everything in my power to not recieve in my ipsy bags (hand lotions, hair products, etc.)

image

This months theme was “Alter Ego.” It made me so excited when i pulled this card out of the bag and the gorgeous girl had bright beautiful extravagant makeup on and neon pink hair! “This October, transform into whoever you want to be. A little imagination and your glam bag is all you need. Infinite possibilities, infinite ways to express yourself” was printed on the back. I was so sure i was going to get some bright awesome colors and products, but i was wrong. I really don’t see how this card related to my bag at all unfortunately, but it was a nice picture to look at.

image image

This is itCosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara in a sample/travel size. I like this product and i’m excited to try it since i haven’t yet, so this one made me happy. ItCosmetics is a great brand i have tons of their brushes and i’ve used some of their other products too, anyone who got this was probably happy as well. 👍

image

Here i have a Peter Lamas Pumpkin Exfoliating Facial Scrub travel size, it smells like a spicy fall time sweet dessert but a little over the top smelling at that. The exfoliating property of this seems like it would work very well it has thick exfoliating beads in it. Maybe i will use it on my legs or something i don’t think i would want my face smelling like this as i get migraines very easily.

Then there is the Eva Nyc Therapy Session hair mask travel size, i might try this or maybe pass it on to my mother. She also has an ipsy bag subscription so we will call each other and trade items next time we see each other haha. 😄 It smells very strong and perfume like. But the smell isn’t bad. You may like it a lot 😉

image image

Here we have a pair of cheaply made tweezers by Emite Makeup. I buy really good quality tweezers that are costly but worth it to me, because i do my own eyebrows and it literally makes the job a hell of a lot easier when you have a pair of precisely made, flat sharp tweezers at your service. These have no use for me. 👎

And then we have an awesome The Balm Liquid Lipstick in “Committed.” Very small sample size. It is a nice everyday neutral color, in a matte formula. Once again, nothing to do with this months theme.. It feels very tacky even after 5 or so minutes, but just hold off on smooching or eating etc. for a bout 10-15 minutes then it will fully set and there will be no smudging at all. I know it seems long, DNA cosmetics lip colors set immediately and stay put all day unlike The Balms formula, and it is much more affordable. Definitely recommend checking them out if you haven’t, their lip colors are TO DIE FOR. But this one smells exactly like thin mint cookies, other beauty bloggers were definitely right about that! Haha, don’t know if i would want such a strong smell on my lips all day but we shall see. 🙌

Well that’s everything in this months bag, please do enter my giveaway international & U.S. welcome! I will be announcing the winner Oct. 25th! 💜💜💜 Keep tuned in for more reviews, makeup looks, a birthday haul, and much more! Comment and leave your thoughts honeybees 😘

FLOWER Cosmetics Swatch & Review: Amazing Blush & Face Focus!

I am really excited to share my thoughts with you on this brand! I feel like it doesn’t get as much attention as it should, so here i am with a bunch of products i will swatch and review to help you form an opinion of your own on FLOWER cosmetics!

image

Above shown from left to right: 2 Transforming touch powder to creme blush, 2 Fragrance mist,  1 “Powder Up” Loose powder, 1 “About Face” Liquid  foundation, 1 BB Cream, 1 “In Your Prime” Perfecting primer.

So, I love their packaging choice. It is so appealing and lady-like. But let’s talk about the products themselves. Starting with the Powder to Creme Blush.

image

(“tickled pink & a-cor-able“)

Retail price: $12.98 USD each.

As you can see, these blushes come in a sifter type powder jar. The sifting holes are actually the perfect size, and all you need to do is tap it lightly upside down with the lid screwed on tight, and then flip it back right side up. Tap lightly on the lid, open your jar and you should have more than enough blush available for you to dip into. This is the finest powder blush i have ever seen. It is like the consistency of confectioners sugar, no joke. You almost need to be careful while applying it, try not to inhale any haha! So light weight, so beautiful and so blendable. You really do not need a lot on the brush when applying this. Now here’s the crazy part, when it says powder to creme, it means powder to creme. Check out this swatch i have on my arm.

* I applied more product than necessary just to show you the transforming property.

image

(“A-cor-able & tickled pink“)

Amazing! You’ve got to try these blushes ladies, they apply so nicely and last quite a while on your face. I absolutely LOVE them.

Now, let’s focus on the face.

image

(“Powder Up” Loose face powder in L01)

Retail price: $9.98 USD

This stuff is great, and the little powder puff included inside again goes back to the lady-like  beautiful packaging. The texture of the powder is so smooth and silky and it applies wonderfully. Even though i love the puff, i still prefer applying this with a powder brush. There will be a swatch below with the liquid foundation & BB cream as well. They have a few different shades for all the beautiful skin tones of you ladies. I would really recommend giving this a try!

image

(“About Face” foundation, BB cream, “In Your Prime” Perfecting face primer)

Retail prices (in order): $13.98, $12.98, $12.98 USD.

Now we have the liquid foundation, BB cream and perfecting primer! Overall, i think the two tinted products have great coverage, texture and wearability. And the primer is SO luxurious and smells amazing & fresh, like you just washed your face! Dries quickly, doesn’t leave you feeling sticky and works wonderfully as an eyeshadow primer as well. Let me show you some swatches of the loose powder, the liquid foundation and the BB cream. (In that order below)

image

I have already shared my thoughts on the loose powder, but now you can see the silky smooth texture. I really like using the BB cream as a brightener to use under my eyes, bridge of my nose etc… As you can see it is a bit more yellow toned, so it works very nicely for brightening with my skin tone. I like to apply that with a moist beauty blender. The liquid foundation is obviously good for full coverage, but it also works great for spot coverage over blemishes! You should really give it a shot and order these for yourself in your best suited shade, they are all fantastic and quality products.

Last but not least; The Fragrance Mists. The bottles are huge, they will last forever and they smell like heaven! What more can i say? I personally think the two i have shown below have very similar aromatic qualities to Victoria secret body sprays. Cherished is the white bottle, it has a very sweet, warm vanilla scent that lingers on you. Such as Victoria Secret’s “warm and cozy” body spray. It is intoxicating. ❤ Radiant is in the pink metallic bottle, it has a very refreshing ‘rolling through a field of new spring flowers’ type of smell. Very classy. ❤ It’s important to smell as good as you look after all!
