Hey ladies! πβ€οΈ I’m back again with a quick tutorial for you girls on how I usually paint my blank fake nails. Like these:
I for one am no good at painting my fingernails. I will make a mess lol π I’m usually never satisfied with how it turns out either, and I tend to mess up my mani every single time by touching them to something, as if I were cursed. πBut now i’ve solved my messy, frustrating situations by painting them off my hand, let me show you what I mean! Some of you may have already figured this out, but I thought it’d make for a nice post. ππΌ
Starting off, I filed each nail into a nice point because they didn’t come very sharp at all. This is the time consuming part, but it’s worth it to make nice, sharp talons.
Secondly, I prepped my nails. Filed them down and lightly filed the surfaces of my nails to give the fake ones something to hold onto better.
Next, I started assembling my helpful q-tip tool for holding the nails while I apply the nail polish!
Pretty simple right? Just roll a little short peice of tape, stick it to the q-tip, and then press the nail onto it. Then all you have to do is paint them! Like so:
Here is a close up picture of how sharp I filed these ones compared to how they came… That white nail below the pink is an original, pretty round right?
Now that you have your nails painted flawlessly, you’re probably going to want to use a pair of tweezers to pull off the little pieces of tape after removing the q-tips. Then simply glue them to your nails and enjoy! A picture perfect, inexpensive manicure. That box of 500 fake nails cost me only $10.00 USD on amazon.com and I already owned everything else ππ»
What do you think? Leave me your thoughts and comments babes β€οΈ Keep tuned for some new awesome brands i’ll be sharing with you! Have a beautiful night.
That’s Awesome π β€

I do the exact same thing. So easier. And you can make multiple sets in advance, not have worry about smudging still wet/soft polish…

Yessss! It’s truly genius, I love that i can let them dry off my hand as well. ππ» I always touch something when my nails are drying, always lol

Me too. I’m heavy handed when I paint nails, so I let mine dry 36-48 hours before applying them. That way I don’t get fingerprint indie toons when pressing them on. π

Me too!! π It is a sephora brand nail polish with the name rubbed off so when i run out i’ll prob never find it again π lol. Im sure i can find something similar though ππΌ But i usually just grab my glue at the store, you can buy it anywhere walmart, target etc. You really should! It’s fun to go get new colors each time i go to the store for my next mani, much cheaper than getting them done in a salon.
